Fitzgerald elected Greenwich Bar head

Bre-bar-association-10-31Considered one of the “New Leaders in the Law” by The Connecticut Law Tribune, Greenwich resident Daniel P. Fitzgerald was recently elected as president of the Greenwich Bar Association.

Mr. Fitzgerald joined the law firm Cummings & Lockwood in 2007 as an associate in the Private Clients Group and was recently elected principal of the firm, effective Jan. 1, 2014. His areas of practice include estate planning, taxation, partnerships, probate litigation and estate administration.

Mr. Fitzgerald was born and raised in New Milford. He graduated from Lafayette College with a B.A. in Economics and Business. He also graduated, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law where he was lead articles editor of the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce and a member of the Justinian Honorary Law Society. In 2011 and 2012, Mr. Fitzgerald was named a “Rising Star in Estate Planning” by New England Super Lawyers, and additionally in 2012, he was named one of the “Best 40 under 40” by the Fairfield County Business Journal.
