‘A Christmas Carol’ set for Dec. 5

Don’t be a Scrooge — check out the Department of Parks and Recreation’s presentation of A Christmas Carol at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center on Dec. 5 from 4 to 5 p.m.

This program is specifically geared toward children in kindergarten to sixth grade, and will be presented by the Hampstead Stage Company.

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is the tale of the miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, and his clerk, Bob Cratchit. Through visits from the spirits of Christmas past, present, and future, Scrooge learns the true meaning of Christmas.

The Hampstead Stage Company was formed more than 25 years ago. Since its inception it has grown into one of the largest national educational touring companies, which perform more than 2,000 shows a year, for more than 20 million audience members.

Tickets to the show are $5 per person. For more information, or to buy tickets call the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center or visit Greenwichct.org.
