Strasberg exhibit returns to Les Beaux Arts

French-American artist Anne Strasberg, is returning to the Les Beaux Arts Gallery in Greenwich, for a festive holiday exhibition entitled Aux Quatre Coins Du Monde.

The exhibit will open Sunday, Dec. 1 and run through Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014.

According to the gallery, “Whether you want to call them naive, primitive or intuitive, Ms. Strasberg’s paintings will capture your attention and captivate you with their story telling. She has often been compared to Grandma Moses and has been collected by serious patrons throughout the world.

“She has a personal view and expression of her surroundings that she translates into her compositions to create a fantastic world. Her joie de vivre is infectious and permeates her paintings from charming country villages to delightful seasides and cityscapes.”

An extensive traveler, mostly to Europe, many of Ms. Strasberg’s paintings reflect those travels and mix together with her imagination to embrace a diversity of subjects.

Her work is exhibited all over the world and has been used for calendars and Christmas cards for UNICEF.

Les Beaux Arts is located at 395 Round Hill Road. The gallery hours are Sunday, 11 a.m. to noon and Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The gallery is closed on Saturday and will also be closed Dec. 24 to 26 and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for the holidays.
