Tree lighting set for Dec. 2

Christmas TreeIt’s that time of year again and the Department of Parks and Recreation has announced that the town’s annual tree lighting ceremony will take place in front of Town Hall on Monday, Dec. 2, from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.

This year’s ceremony will feature a holiday message from First Selectman Peter Tesei, a visit from Santa, Mrs. Claus, Frosty and Rudolph, as well as Mechanical Polar Bear and Reindeer Rides. The Greenwich High School Chamber Singers will brighten the festivities by singing holiday songs.

In addition, cider, hot chocolate, cookies and candy canes — and plenty of holiday cheer — will be available.
