Greenwich YWCA Dolphins host annual Hall of Fame luncheon

The 10th annual YWCA Greenwich Aquatic Hall of Fame Luncheon will be held Saturday, Nov. 30 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency, Greenwich.

The event honors outstanding swimmers, divers, water polo players, coaches and volunteers whose accomplishments have enriched the lives of many in the community. Proceeds benefit the YWCA Greenwich Aquatic Scholarship Fund.

Famed YWCA Dolphins Swim Team head coach Nick Cavataro will host the event. Attendees will applaud five, class of 2014 inductees, as well as six, 2013 Performers of the Year honorees.

Inductees are Philip J. Baity, Keira Heath, Richie Hyden, Kurt Jomo and Thomas L. Payton.

The Walter Rothenheber Memorial Swimmer of the Year award will honor Meghan Elizabeth Lynch and Thomas J. Dillinger.

Diver-of-the-Year honors will be presented to Elizabeth Kathleen Uhl and James D. Hopper, while the Tim Nesvig memorial Water Polo Player of the Year will honor Daniela Screnci and Ross Schofield.

A special YWCA Greenwich Aquatic Hall of Fame Achievement Award will be presented to Mickey Yardis, owner of Threads and Treads, Greenwich. in appreciation for all he has done for the aquatic community.
