Novakowski and Reilly showed sour grapes in their letters

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

I enjoy reading the letters that are posted in the Greenwich Post. My neighbor once said if you want to find out what’s going on in any town in the USA, read the Letters to the Editor section in the local paper.

Now, after reading Selectman Drew Marzullo’s letter, I could certainly feel Drew’s sincere thanks and gratitude towards all those who supported and voted for him. Peter Sherr’s letter was also sincere and, yes, I believe Peter when he says he will listen to the people.

However, I feel it was a case of “sour grapes” in Rick Novakowski and Jim Reilly’s letters in the Nov. 14 Post.

Mr. Novakowski stated he felt, to be bluntly honest, some people left a little to be desired when it comes to being their best. Well, what goes around comes around, Mr. Novakowski.

In the past, your letters to the editor showed little to no respect towards Tod Laudonia and those who worked for the town of Greenwich, past and present. I can only wish that the Greenwich Democratic Party will find a much better candidate the next time around.

In regards to Mr. Reilly complaining about the lack of respect shown to his platform, may I be so bold to suggest to him that he show more respect to Greenwich and its citizens. Mr. Reilly can start by showing some respect to himself, in the way he chooses to look and dress and in the way he expresses himself. Please remember, Mr. Reilly, you want to represent our great town of Greenwich, so improve the way you express yourself and your personal appearance.

Greenwich and its citizens deserve more respect than is shown by you, Mr. Reilly, in being an independent candidate. Be yourself, Mr. Reilly, but also accept responsibility to improve yourself. Remember, you want to represent our town and its citizens so you must show the town and its citizens your respect too. To be a winner, you have to think and dress like a winner.

May God continue to bless our great town and all of its citizens.
