Sacred Heart volleyball advances to FAA finals with 3-0 win over Holy Child

The Convent of the Sacred Heart volleyball team will once again play for the Fairchester Athletic Association championship game, as they beat School of the Holy Child 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-16) earlier today.

Grace McKenney had seven aces and 23 assists, while teammate Margaret Ellison had seven kills and four aces. Bianca Chiappelloni finished with eight kills and three aces, while Marie Njie-Mitchell had six kills and the match-winning block.

“The girls came with high energy and played with focus and determination,” CSH head coach Beth Wilson-Jordan said. “I am very proud of them and the level of volleyball they played today.”

The Tigers will play for the FAA gold Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. when they travel to cross-town rival Greenwich Academy.
