Expert to lead grant seminar on Nov. 15

Discover the ins and outs of acquiring grants on Nov. 15 at a workshop led by independent consultant Judith Margolin.

The half-day seminar will explore the details of grant seeking and provide specific advice about how to successfully secure outside funding from foundations and corporations. Ms. Margolin will discuss how to assess an organization’s funding needs and grant seeking readiness. She will also address important techniques for customizing proposals to specific foundations and how to follow up after decisions are made.

Ms. Margolin is a consultant and workshop leader on foundations and grants. She served for several years as vice president for planning and evaluation at the Foundation Center, the nation’s leading authority on philanthropy. Ms. Margolin is the author of The Individual’s Guide to Grants and has served as editor of multiple editions of the Foundation Center’s how-to books.

The workshop will be held in the Greenwich Library Meeting room on Nov. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is open to all at no charge. Registration is required and is limited to 50 participants.
