Microchips for pets offered on Nov. 9

Puppy stock photoThe town’s animal shelter and Greenwich Animal Control will hold a microchip clinic on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at 393 North Street.

Microchips enable pets to be identified if they are separated from their owners. They are also an important part of emergency preparedness.

Shelley Skopit of Park Animal Hospital in Norwalk/Darien will be on site to administer microchips to pets. The cost is $10 per pet (cash or check only). Bring only healthy pets to the clinic.

Dogs must be on leashes and cats in carriers. The clinic is limited to Greenwich residents and town employees.
