Prepare your ears for a musical treat on Friday, Nov. 8, when the Off Sounders, Greenwich’s premier men’s a cappella group, will host their sixth annual college concert at the Belle Haven Club.

This year the concert will feature two groups from Connecticut College, the ConnChords and Co Co Beaux.

The Off Sounders are a mens a cappella singing group that has been performing in the Greenwich area since 1956. Previous college concerts featured Ephlat and Octet of Williams College, Stuck in the Middle and the Mischords of Middlebury College, the Buffers and Tumbling After of Hamilton College, the Colgate Thirteen and Swinging Gates of Colgate University and the Accidentals of Trinity College.

This year’s concert is dedicated to the memory of Wolcott Ely, a founding member of the Off Sounders, who recently passed away. Mr. Ely was a Yale graduate and member of the Whiffenpoofs. He was a trouper who seldom missed a rehearsal and was with the Off Sounders in rehearsal learning new music shortly before he died.

The public is invited to attend the event, which takes place at 7:30 on Nov. 8. Tickets cost $20 and will be available at the door, from a member of the group or on the Connecticut College alumni website at Conncoll.edu.
