Bernstein and Peldunas can fix board turmoil

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

The Board of Education has been in turmoil for the past several years and has been mired in unproductive internal squabbles while academic performance has stagnated. On November 5, voters should fix this problem.

All voters can vote for four Board of Education candidates and I urge you to vote for Peter Bernstein and Brian Peldunas, the endorsed candidates on the Republican ticket.

Both candidates are committed to maintaining our neighborhood schools and improving the academic achievement of each child. As a lawyer and former co-president of the Hamilton Avenue PTA, Peter will bring leadership skills to the Board.  Brian, a retired finance professional and RTM member, has already demonstrated independent thinking through his successful advocacy for a more effective math curriculum.

Above all, I believe that Peter and Brian have the people skills to work constructively with their fellow BOE members and the Superintendent to improve our kids’ education in Greenwich.

Please join me on November 5 in supporting Peter Bernstein and Brian Peldunas.
