Sacred Heart soccer edges Millbrook School, 3-2

The Convent of the Sacred Heart soccer team built an early 2-0 lead and never looked back, as they upended Milbrook School 3-2 earlier today.

Freshman Delaney Colaio got the ball rolling early, as she scored seven minutes into the game. With eight minutes left in the half, the Tigers grabbed its 2-0 lead, as sophomore Tracey Hagan found the back of the net. Although Millbrook School scored four minutes into the second half, Hagan scored her second goal of the game to make the score 3-1.

Sacred Heart had plenty of scoring chances throughout the game, finishing with 16 shots on net. Millbrook finished with five. For the Tigers, freshman Charlie Clark finished with two saves between the pipes while her counterpart Melissa Sheeran, a senior, added four saves.
