Jason Bacon, Mary Bush Society president, and Chelsea Bacon, Connecticut honorary state president, served as voting delegates at the National Society of the Children of the American Revolution’s 117th National Convention.

Jason Bacon, Mary Bush Society president, and Chelsea Bacon, Connecticut honorary state president, served as voting delegates at the National Society of the Children of the American Revolution’s 117th National Convention.

The Mary Bush Children of the American Revolution (CAR) attended the weekend-long Annual National CAR Conference on April 18 to 21 in Arlington, Va.

Two Greenwich residents, Jason Bacon, Mary Bush Society president, and Chelsea Bacon, honorary Connecticut president, served as voting delegates in the election. As local president, Mr. Bacon accepted 11 national awards for the Mary Bush Society.

The students learned about the new national project to support the Student Veterans of America. This nonprofit organization provides scholarships and support for veterans reentering or joining college life. The Mary Bush Society has grown to 160 members, making it the largest society in Connecticut.

The new Mary Bush Society president, Victoria Slater, is planning to have fun, educational meetings throughout the school year. In July, the students also attended a New England Regional Conference in New Hampshire.
