Krumeich is the leader Greenwich needs

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

Bullying is not a new problem in Greenwich. Neither is domestic violence. They are heavily, yet not exclusively, women’s and girls’ issues.

However, now that Greenwich has been rocked by two high-profile tragedies, our selectmen are falling all over themselves to get out front on these issues. As a woman, a wife and a mother, Beth Krumeich, the Democratic Party’s candidate for first selectman, brings a different perspective and sensitivity to these issues.

She comes to her candidacy with a wealth of diverse experience behind her, and as an attorney, she will also bring a wider and more informed viewpoint to the handling and accountability on issues such as these as she works closely with school officials, law enforcement and private agencies to thoroughly and competently address these problems.

She will follow through over the long term. There is no question that a Board of Selectmen majority comprised of Beth Krumeich and her running mate Drew Marzullo would be better equipped to deal with issues such as these than the current Tesei-Theis team.

It’s time for a change. Please join me in voting for Beth Krumeich on Nov. 5.
