Greenwich Academy field hockey beats cross-town rival Sacred Heart, 4-1

Although the Convent of the Sacred Heart field hockey did everything to try and stop Greenwich Academy’s perfect season, the Gators were just too much, beating the Tigers 4-1 earlier today.

Greenwich Academy grabbed the early 1-0 lead when Annie Leonard took the pass from Teddi West and found the back of the net. CSH didn’t back down, tying the game at 1-1. However, GA was able to convert on several of its corner opportunities and scored the next three goals.

Alix West gave the Gators the lead back, when get got the pass from Izzy Viola and Hannah Goodrick and blasted the shot home. From there, it was all Katrina Kraus, as the Gator netted the net two goals. Goodrick and Leonard were in on both of those assists.
