YMCA to host Harvest Art Fair

The YMCA of Greenwich will host 10 local artists for the first annual Y Harvest Art Fair, taking place from Monday, Oct. 21 to Friday, Oct. 25.

Area artists including Britt Bair, Kathy Chattoraj, Vaunghn Fender, Jim Grabowski, Ed Hicks, Jessica Licata, Layne Marholin, Adrienne Mierzwa, Keith Magner and Lela Philip will be part of the event. There will be an opening night reception for the community on Tuesday, Oct. 22., from 6 to 8 p.m.

Ms. Philip, whose whimsical shoe series and watercolors will be among the featured works said, “Being a part of this show is an honor, and I am thrilled to be able to exhibit my work for the community at the YMCA.”

A portion of the art sales will go to benefit the Y For All annual giving campaign to support programs, financial assistance for membership, afterschool programming and summer camp.

In addition to showcasing local artists, the Y will feature crafters and local vendors throughout the week in the lobby.

Victoria Ashlee Jewelry, Silpada Designs and Pinky’s will be among those selling their wares.
