Experiencing light and color with a sensitive palette is the core of artist, Roger Milinowski’s oil landscapes, which will be displayed at the exhibition “Along the East Coast,” at Les Beaux Arts Gallery from Oct. 20 through Nov. 27.

Mr. Milinowski’s paintings are serene and speak to the heart; the quaint settings of America’s East Coast and rural country farms are the perfect subjects for his artistic style.

He travels around painting and gathering field studies that are used as reference material for many of his compositions.

According to the gallery, he offers a bucolic vision of the East Coast’s idyllic scenery where a certain ‘bonheur de vivre’ envelops the viewer.

“Although I create paintings under many circumstances, I am most excited about painting en plein air,” Mr. Milinowski said. “There’s an immediacy about painting directly from nature, capturing a moment in time that I find very stimulating. When I paint, I love to drop below the clutter of today’s busy images and bring out the suggestion of a quieter, more nostalgic time.”

The Gallery is located at 395 Round Hill Road, in the Round Hill Community Church. Gallery hours are Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon and Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gallery will also be closed on Veteran’s Day, Monday, Nov. 11.
