Famed jeweler to host local exhibition

diamondsIf you’re looking to add a little sparkle to your life, don’t miss Simon Teakle’s fine jewelry exhibition, hosted by Hancocks of London, from Tuesday, Oct. 15 to Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Established in 1849, Hancocks is one of London’s oldest and finest dealers buying and selling rare and collectible jewelry. Within a year of opening its doors in 1849, Hancocks received a warrant of appointment from Queen Victoria. She and many of the principle sovereigns of Europe became regular patrons.

In addition, Hancocks has also been exclusively entrusted with the design and production of the Victoria Cross since its creation in 1856.

Located at 4 Grigg Street, Simon Teakle’s shop will house more than 30 pieces of Hancocks’ collection featuring spectacular Art Nouveau jewelry as well as luxurious jeweled objects from the Art Deco period.

“Hancocks has always been known for their superb quality of jewelry and I am excited to have the opportunity to showcase them in my shop in Greenwich,” said Simon Teakle. “The objects and jewelry that will be a part of the exhibition are unique and extremely rare… I am thrilled to be a part of this great event.”
