Greenwich Academy field hockey beats FAA rival Rye Country Day School, 4-1

After a hard-fought first half that saw the Greenwich Academy field hockey team draw a tie with Rye Country Day School, the Gators exploded onto the scene in the second, scoring three times and taking the 4-1 victory earlier today.

Teddi West took the pass from Annie Leonard and got the Gators on the board in the first half. Annie Leonard got the team’s first goal of the second half, as she took the pass from Sarah Frauen. The duo struck again to give GA a 3-1 lead, as it was Frauen who got the goal and Leonard who netted the assist. West picked up her second goal of the contest when she got the ball from Leonard and West and found the back of the net.

With the victory, Greenwich Academy improved to 7-0-0 on the season.
