Brunswick water polo team beats Staples High, 14-9

The Brunswick School water polo team boarded its bus and headed to Westport for a game against Staples High School. With Pat Stefanou leading the way, the Bruins left Staples with the 14-9 victory earlier today.

Stefanou had a stellar afternoon for Brunswick, as he paced the team with six goals. The combination of Alex Prout and Simon Derby each netted two goals, while teammates Will Marvin, Matt Marvin and Grant Pierce each added one goal.

In net, starter Charlie Pang finished with five saves for Brunswick, while Sandro Mariani came in for relief and made two saves on the day.

With the victory, Brunswick upped its record to 7-0 on the season and will be back in action Saturday when they travel to Windsor to play both Loomis Chaffee School and Williston Northampton.
