Malloy to speak in town

If you want an up close and personal look at the state’s leadership, join the League of Women Voters of Greenwich on Oct. 7 as they host Gov. Dannel Malloy in the Meeting Room at Town Hall from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Mr. Malloy will give a brief presentation followed by questions from the audience.

Elected in November 2010, Mr. Malloy is up for reelection in 2014. He is running for a second term and is facing heavy competition from Republicans with four candidates, including Greenwich’s Tom Foley, saying they will seek the Republican nomination.

Prior to being elected as Connecticut’s governor, he was Stamford’s longest-serving mayor, serving the city from 1995-2009.

The public is encouraged to attend this event. For more information, contact Marie Vandivort at [email protected] or visit Lwvg.org.
