Muddy good fun

The second Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich Muddy Up 5K Adventure Race and Family Fun Walk was a messy but total success last Sunday. More than 700 participants, triple the number who ran last year, crossed the obstacle course trail over the 77 acres of Camp Simmons, including the lake, literally crawling through the mud, like, at right, Teon Gookool, to get through it. At the very end, the Greenwich Fire Department was there to hose the runners down, cleaning them off and leaving everyone with a smile on their faces as more than $100,000, double the $50,000 goal, was raised.
