A vote for Appelbaum is a vote for our children

The Greenwich Public Schools are a vital asset to the thousands of Greenwich families that depend on them for the future of their children.

To secure the objectives of this public resource, we need effective leadership on the Board of Education. That’s why I’m voting for Debbie Appelbaum and ask you to do likewise.

Debbie is passionate and thoughtful about the issues confronting public education in Greenwich. She has actively participated in school governance for more than 10 years. Serving as PTA president for the schools her children attended, she is keenly aware of the challenges and concerns of parents who simply want the best education for their kids, regardless of ability or socioeconomic status.

She has delved into details, collaborating with the administration on School Improvement Teams to analyze data to identify ways to elevate student achievement.

Debbie recognizes that adequate funding is an important contributor to academic achievement. She has and will be an effective advocate for the financial resources our schools need to achieve their mission, evidenced by her involvement in supporting MISA, and her good relationships with BET members.

Debbie has the vision to guide Greenwich Public Schools to serve our children over the long term. Her platform specifically recognizes the importance of early education to help children achieve lifelong learning success. At the same time, working with college graduates as she does today, she understands the real-world needs of young adults as they enter the workforce.

Please vote on Nov. 5 and elect Debbie Appelbaum to the Board of Education. It will be a vote for the success of our children.
