Enjoy ‘An Evening of Laughter’ and support an all-volunteer nonprofit on Friday Oct. 4 at the Friends of Autistic People’s (FAP) annual fund-raising gala at a private, backcountry residence.

The event will feature Jane Condon, a well known comedian and part of the team responsible for the Our Life cartoons in the Greenwich Post, with a guest appearance by Marcie Trivette, reigning Miss Raleigh, N.C. and an autism advocate.

The gala will also include heavy hors d’oeuvres throughout the night by Festivities, wine and champagne by Horseneck Wines and Liquors, and American Harvest Organic Vodka.

Musical entertainment will be provided by John Murray and Friends.

A live and silent auction featuring items from various donor organizations, including the Delamar, Greenwich Harbor, Classic Kids and JHouse, will add to the excitement of the evening.

All proceeds from the fund-raiser will go to the Farm Fund, dedicated to build FAP’s planned green, organic, Farm Living and Learning Academy for adult children with autism and to finance FAP’s music-based therapy project for children and adults with autism.

Michael Rosen, executive vice president of Autism Speaks, will be honored by FAP founder and President Brita Darany von Regensburg.
