Arts Council benefit Sept. 28

It’s alive — the arts, that is. Join the Greenwich Arts Council for ARTS ALIVE!, a benefit fund-raising event to support the organization’s exhibitions and educational programs on Sept. 28 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

This benefit evening establishes a new tradition of giving in Greenwich and features an array of prominent professional artists in many different fields who will be performing that evening, including visual arts, drama, opera, classical and jazz music — all area’s covered by the council’s public programming.

Elegant cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be interspersed with these performances throughout the evening, all happening at the Greenwich Arts Council. As an added bonus to the evening, there will also be a special Collector’s Opportunity with 30 works of art available for purchase. Each created by a prominent artist, they will be available to patrons for $300 on a first selected, first purchased basis exclusively at the event. Tickets begin at $125 per person and may be obtained by calling the GAC office at 203-862-6750. Further information may be found on the website at Greenwichartscouncil.org.
