Are your pets seeking salvation? Are your dogs in need of some spiritual guidance? Could your cats use some quality time in church instead of just lounging in the sun spot and showing a general indifference toward everything else?

Then the popular annual event at Round Hill Community Church known simply as the Blessing of the Animals could be just what they need.

The blessing is open to all creatures great and small and has become one of the most beloved family events on the church’s calendar each year.

The special Blessing of the Animals service will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29 at the Round Hill Community House. People are invited to bring their pets as the service is designed to give thanks for the impact pets and beloved animals have had in the lives of people.

While many bring their actual pets, others bring pictures, stuffed animals or other items in memory of pets who have died.

There will be a Coffee Hour following the service, and treats will be available for two and multi-legged attendees.

The Community House is located at 397 Round Hill Road.
