How to become an independent consultant

If you’re thinking about a career in independent consulting, you can let the pros lead the way at a free workshop, “Becoming an Independent Consultant,” on Sept. 28 presented by SCORE Fairfield County, in conjunction with the Greenwich Library.

Becoming an independent consultant and information provider can be an excellent career for some people. But it takes marketable skills and highly focused sales ability, according to SCORE.

Because of that, they are offering the opportunity to learn from presenter Austin K. Pryor, former president of The ForeSight Consultants, an independent part of the ForeSight Network of Sweden.

Mr. Pryor was previously Ernst & Young’s director of innovation and entrapreneurship management consulting services. He has more than 40 years of senior management experience in marketing, new products and business development with four Fortune 500 companies, a start-up aquaculture venture in Hawaii and as a Certified Management Consultant. He has been a SCORE counselor for 18 years.

Register directly at Scorenorwalk.org. Questions or comments can be directed to [email protected] or 203-831-0065.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, with check-in starting at 9:30 a.m.
