NBA ref says vote for Novakowski is ‘right call’

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

Although I do not have a vote in this November election for Greenwich’s tax collector, this is one Stamford neighbor who will be paying close attention to the race as I urge my friends in Greenwich to elect Rick Novakowski.

As a professional basketball referee, which keeps me on the road for most of nine months while owning a business here, I had the difficult task of locating and identifying professional, qualified people who were both capable and trustworthy. With many years of experience and stellar credentials, Rick was recommended to me and I had the good fortune of bringing him in.

I soon saw first-hand why Rick had earned the reputation and accolades I had heard so much about.

One of the first things he did was to recognize overscheduling as he staggered the work schedule and eliminated 70 hours weekly in unnecessary man hours. Rick relentlessly sought ways to innovate and improve business, always conscious to ensure that service never suffered. I am sure that Rick’s professional experience in the private sector would be an invaluable asset to the town of Greenwich.

Our slogan at Bennett’s reads, “Where every choice is the right call.” But Greenwich voters do not have that luxury this November.

There’s only one choice that’s the “right call,” and that call is vote for Rick Novakowski for tax collector.
