Sacred Heart soccer falls to Rye Country Day School, 4-2

The Convent of the Sacred Heart soccer team fell to Rye Country Day School earlier today, 4-2.

Rye started the game by scoring the first four goals of the game. The Tigers got on the board when Alessandra Nocco found the back of the net in the 74th minute. Five minutes later, freshman Delaney Colaio added the team’s second goal of the contest.

Rye started the scoring with Stephanie Sabitini scoring the first two goals of the game, the first coming in the 16th minute. Tatiana Fernandez added another goal to start the second half and Zoe Kost scored six minutes later.

For Sacred Heart, who finished with 16 shots on goal, freshman goalie Charlie Clark finished with eight saves while her counterpart Francesca Ventura made 10 saves.

With the loss, Sacred Heart fell to 1-1-1 on the season.
