Girl talk took on a new meaning on June 27 when Ladies Who Launch joined forces with the Greenwich lifestyle brand The Greenwich Girl to sponsor a book reading by world-renowned women’s empowerment coach, author, speaker and TV guest expert Allyson Spellman.

The event was held at the Greenwich Library and the room was packed with local women who listened to Ms. Spellman’s inspiring message and a long line of attendees eagerly waited for the author to sign copies of her book.

Ms. Spellman read from her book 40 Days of Voice Redemption: A Daily Devotional for Women to Unleash Their Authentic Truth and shared her personal story of struggle and triumph to help women uncover and celebrate their own authentic voice, purpose and potential.

According to Kathy McShane, managing director of Ladies Who Launch, “This event inspired the women to focus on their own personal growth. It was an empowering discussion that Allyson candidly shared her wisdom and guidance.”

Ms. Spellman noted, “I love sharing my own story of ‘voice redemption’ because women can relate to the feeling of being lost in the busy mix of life. Through the book and discussion I am able to share what helped me to reclaim my authentic voice. I believe it inspires women to begin their own journey of discovering their passion and potential.”

Ms. Spellman was previously an actress, entertainment producer and casting director who worked in various capacities for TV, film and Broadway.

She is currently the CEO & founder of Unleash Your Voice. She has coached hundreds of women to stop settling for less and start living without limits. She is a women’s empowerment coach, writer, speaker and frequent guest expert on TV. Through the Unleash Your Voice brand, Ms. Spellman has developed programs, workshops and tools designed for women to uncover their authentic voice and reclaim their true identity.

Ladies Who Launch of southwestern Connecticut has a growing membership of more than 300 women who already take advantage of its numerous resources to help develop new businesses and grow existing businesses. Ms. McShane brings 25 years of marketing and product/brand development expertise to the organization.

The Greenwich Girl, created by Greenwich native Laura McKittrick, is a lifestyle brand that gives the inside scoop on all things Greenwich.

Transformed from what was initially a blog, to what is now a thriving lifestyle brand, The Greenwich Girl represents an unmatched perspective.
