Fashion on the Avenue returns Thursday

Greenwich Avenue will transform into the ultimate high fashion catwalk with an evening of style in celebration of its annual Fashion on the Avenue event today, Sept. 12.

Greenwich Avenue will be closed from Lewis to Elm Streets for a live outdoor ‘red carpet’ runway show beginning at 6 p.m. featuring high-end local retailers and designers. The show will double in size this year, with more than 80 models expected to strut the best of retailers’ fall collections down the avenue.

The show will also feature a performance by dancers from The Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich and a car show of ‘sexy’ models presented by Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich.

The goal of Greenwich Fashion on the Avenue is to support the local business community through an event for all ages, and to celebrate the fall shopping season. The event is free and open to the public.
