Marzullo knows how to keep Greenwich strong

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

How do we keep Greenwich strong? After all, we are a talented, hard-working, and successful community that cares about each other and about our future together.

The answer is top talent and we have it. All of the talented and energetic residents and the fine leaders of this unique and wonderful place we call home can claim credit for our strength and for our social and economic health. Surely, as all good managers know, attracting and retaining top talent is a priority that requires effort, planning and a long-range view.

I am writing to endorse a man for selectman who cares about Greenwich deeply. He is truly a gifted communicator and a creative and successful leader who makes sure information, people and resources get to where they can be best utilized. And he knows our secret for maintaining an environment where top talent can make a home and thrive.

Drew Marzullo, running for a third term, understands the balance between affordable and market-rate housing in the town of Greenwich and he strikes to hit the right mix, with the goal of maintaining our strength into the future.

Drew has been a strong supporter of initiatives such as the purchase of the Strickland property and his advocacy has meant that many of the people who give our town character and strength — the teachers, the health care workers, the emergency personnel, the owners, and the workers — can feel the pride of living and working in a town that they can call home.

Attracting and growing the best, caring for the best, and accommodating the best, fulfills a commitment to our community that makes us all proud to be residents of Greenwich.

Selectman Marzullo possesses a sensitivity to the diverse issues surrounding our concerns for keeping Greenwich healthy and vibrant. We should thank him, somehow, for his work and commitment, and we should elect him again.

Please get to the polls and vote.
