Carnival of Fun

It wasn’t just one night to remember at the annual St. Catherine’s Carnival of Fun which lasted through the majority of last week, bringing games, prizes, rides, food, live music and, literally, a carnival-type atmosphere to Riverside. And this year was extra special as it celebrated the St. Catherine’s parish’s 100th anniversary. Pam Sloane, a committee member for the annual carnival, said it was the “most successful in recent memory” noting the great weather, the live entertainment, including a magician and a new photo booth, as well as the addition of bingo games and specialty food brought in from Aux Delices. She said that Fred Durante, the chair and driving force of the event, is already thinking about topping it for next year too. Above, the rides were able to light up the night sky at the carnival while providing a fun time for the whole family.
