Marzullo has proven he’s there for residents

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

I write today in strong support of Drew Marzullo for selectman.

I first met Drew when he first ran for Selectman in 2009. I was immediately struck by how enthusiastic and energetic Drew was about running and serving in the specific and unique role of selectman.

More than anything, Drew has been incredibly successful in his past two terms embodying the role of selectman. He has prioritized constituent services and advocacy for all Greenwich residents to deliver concrete results. He has challenged CL&P for their poor response to town-wide outages and he has successfully advocated against a cell tower on Aquarian property in the North Mianus part of town.

Drew has also been an important advocate for town capital projects like improvements to The Nathaniel Witherell, renovation of the Central Fire House and pushing for the MISA project.

Drew’s background as a paramedic for more than 20 years also gives him an important perspective on emergency response and emergency care, the only such voice on the Board of Selectman and one that is vital for the successful delivery of town services.

Drew has proven over his last two years that he is an effective and influential Selectman. He listens to the residents of Greenwich and is able to act on their behalf. Recognition of his unique role as an advocate and representative has allowed him to successfully work with his colleagues on the Board of Selectman and across town government.

Drew has proven time again why he is such an effective leader in town government and I urge the voters of the town of Greenwich to join me in electing him to a third term this November.
