Changes in Metro North schedule affect Greenwich riders

To accommodate ongoing rail improvement work on Metro-North Railroad’s Bronx right-of-way tracks, some New Haven Line trains are changing schedules and stops this week, beginning Monday afternoon, Aug. 5.
While none of the trains directly affect New Canaan branch service off the New Haven Line, the train time shifts could affect residents who catch trains to or from Stamford and Darien, on the main New Haven Line.
The following schedule adjustments go into effect Monday, Aug. 5:
Inbound trains
• The 3:24 p.m. train from New Haven-State Street to Grand Central Terminal will stop at Westport, South Norwalk, Darien, and Stamford stations 1-2 minutes later than the times shown in the July 1 timetables. This train will no longer stop at Greenwich.
• The 4:27 p.m. train from Stamford to Grand Central Terminal will depart Stamford Station 5 minutes earlier, at 4:22. Times at all other stations remain unchanged.
Outbound trains
• The 5:20 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal to Harrison will depart one minute later, at 5:21, and arrive at all stations one minute later.
•The 5:49 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven (first stop Stamford) will depart at 5:50, and arrive at all stations one minute later.
•The 5:50 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven (first stop Fairfield) will depart at 5:48, and arrive at all stations two minutes earlier.
