Let the Chamber Players of the Greenwich Symphony string you along this month with a Summer String Fest concert to be performed on Thursday, July 11.

Daniel Miller and Krystof Witek, artistic co-directors of the Chamber Players, and principal violin and cello of the symphony respectively, devised the show, which is presented in cooperation with the Greenwich Arts Council as part of the Chamber Players’ Summer Music Program.

The Sextet from Capriccio, Op. 85 by Richard Strauss will lead off the String Fest, followed by the String Quartet No. 23 in F major, K 590, Prussian No. 3 by Mozart and Tchaikovsky’s String Sextet in D minor Souvenir de Florence, Op. 70. The latter work received rave reviews when performed by the Chamber Players at their April concerts this past year.

Musicians performing will be violinists Ms. Witek and Susan Hytken Metcalf; violists Vincent Lionti and Junah Chung and cellists Mr. Miller and Caroline Stinson.

The concert is free of charge. In previous years, this popular event has filled the meeting room, so to ensure seats, reservations must be made in advance through the Arts Council at 203-862-6750.

Drop-ins are welcome, but those who have reserved seating ahead of time will have priority.

The concert takes place at 7 p.m. on July 11 at the Greenwich Arts Council Building, 299 Greenwich Avenue.
