Registration underway for 26th annual Greenwich Point swim

The 26th Annual Greenwich Point One Mile Swim will be held on July 20th.

The event, part of Betteridge 2013 Greenwich Cup race series, is sponsored by The Greenwich Swim Committee and the Town of Greenwich.

Race start is 7:30 a.m. and check-in opens an hour earlier. Water temperature should be around 70-degrees. The heats will be by age group, with colored caps provided. Wet suits are allowed but competitors wearing wet suits will be ineligible for awards. There will be refreshments and commemorative T-shirts for all participants.

The entry fee is $45 for entries postmarked by July 1 and $55 postmarked  thereafter. The fee for participants 13 to 18 years of age is $20. There will also be a 400-yard kid’s race for children under 13-years-old following the one-mile swim and the entry fee is $5.
