It was long, it was exhausting, it was fun and, most importantly, it was for a good cause as the annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life event was held at Brunswick School’s King Street campus last weekend. The all-night event, which began at 5 p.m. Friday and lasted until 7:30 a.m. Saturday had walkers of all ages participating to raise money for cancer research. Teams ran in both honor and memory of friends and loved ones and while it was a meaningful event, it was also a fun and festive one. Here Spencer Helmrich zipped to the finish line to raise funds. Additional pictures will be available online Friday at Greenwich-post.com.
