There’s ‘Something in the Air’ at Alliance Francaise screening

movie reel stockThere will be something in the air at the Avon Theatre in Stamford on Thursday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m. when the Alliance Francaise of Greenwich presents a French Cinematheque screening.

The film, Something in the Air, directed by Olivier Assayas, follows Gilles, a high school student in Paris in the early 70s. Though he is swept up in the political fever of the time, his real dream is to paint and make films, something that his friends and even his girlfriend cannot understand. For them, politics is everything, the political struggle all consuming. But Gilles gradually becomes more comfortable with his life choices, and learns to feel at ease in this new society.

The film will be shown in French with English subtitles. Tickets are free for Carte Blanche members, $6 for members & AFG, $8 for students and seniors and $11 for nonmembers.
