Add a little color to your life with a town-sponsored concert performed by Too Blue on Saturday, June 8 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Byram Shore Park.

There’s nothing “blue” about genre-defying acoustic quartet Too Blue. Following the release of their acclaimed CD Trouble with the Grey, the band is making national news and earning quite the following in their home states of Connecticut and New York. Blending bluegrass, jazz, swing and Celtic, Too Blue members Betsy Rome (guitar and vocals), Joan Harrison (banjo and vocals), Michael Sassano (mandolin) and Jamie Doris (bass) deliver an “eclectic and adventurous performance filled with lush vocal harmonies and a sound that can’t be pinned down” according to the town.

Too Blue earned a coveted slot in the lineup at the 2012 Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, and performed on the Showcase Stage at the 2013 Joe Val Bluegrass Festival.

According to Eric Gibson of the nationally-awarded Gibson Brothers, Too Blue has “smooth harmonies, adventurous musicianship, and eclectic material … Ah, music for grown-ups” — but also for children of all ages, because a Too Blue show includes plenty of musical fun. Bring the family, a picnic dinner, relax, and listen to some wonderful music at Byram Park.
