Social drinking app designed to promote safety

In hopes of bridging the gap between social drinking and social responsibility among young adults, Greenwich residents Carey Fox, founder of Stealth Pictures, LLC, and Bobbi Eggers, joined forces with Fairfield County’s Hubert-Greene to launch their myHop application, currently in Beta testing.

myHop  allows users to track their evening, tally drinks and use social networking to reach out to friends. It is part of a smart-drinking campaign to be sponsored by brands and community outreach groups.

myHop is built upon the Obsession Engine, a unique and readily customizable software package. It is one of many apps that can target fast-growing product niches and their highly loyal and social audiences. Apps in other categories can also be built upon the Obsession Engine to create an unusually deep interaction with users that builds with daily use.

Users will also be given the opportunity to submit video created via the app for a web-based docuseries now being developed by Stealth Pictures.

“We seamlessly promote increased awareness and safety. This is the safety net parents and marketers have waited for,” Ms. Eggers said.
