Four Greenwich teens, all members of the tri-state volunteer group Teen-Works, were recognized at the Greenwich Lions Club April 11 meeting for their work in gathering and recycling more than approximately 1,550 pairs of prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses.

The three-year old Teen-Works project is called Recycle for Sight.

The collected glasses are cleaned, sorted and delivered to the regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers in New Jersey for distribution to people in need in developing countries where they will have the greatest impact.
