Library to celebrate anniversary with outdoor festivities

Family fun will be the order of the day on May 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. when the parking lot of the Byram Shubert Library becomes the setting for the library’s 82nd anniversary celebration.

The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library have invited everyone to enjoy the event’s free activities including music for listening and dancing provided by a DJ, a balloon artist and fun with bubbles. There will also be crafts to fascinate the kids, an ice cream social and much more.

This year’s Share Your Story photographs and memories will be on display in the library’s Friends Community Room. The continuing art exhibit, Neighborhood Wedding Portraits, will enhance the room and, upstairs in the Historic Display case and the conference room, the continuing exhibit One Woman’s Journey to America offers a wonderful glimpse into a neighborhood family’s years in our town.
