College prep talk for parents offered

BooksThe question parents face when getting kids ready for college is, what attitudes, skills, knowledge, and habits should they have by the time they leave for freshman year of college?

The Fathers’ Forum will address that by ending its 2012/2013 season with a discussion entitled  Preparing Your Child for College on Saturday, May 18, at 8 a.m. at the YMCA Greenwich. The conversation will be led by Kaleigh Griffith, a recent graduate of St. Joseph’s University.

The discussion will include relevant topics such as coping with independence, respect, budgeting, roommates, organization skills, risky behaviors and temptations along with good nutrition, laundry issues and tips on making good decisions.
