Imagine cruising around with the rag top down in a classic roadster this summer. Family Centers will offer the community just that as they raffle off a 1951 MG-TD Convertible at their Gatsby on the Sound benefit on May 31.

The car is in impeccable condition and features the original 1250-cc four cylinder engine, leather interior and four-speed transmission. The MG was donated by the late Stig Host of Greenwich, a dedicated supporter of Family Centers and its work in the community. He was a man of great warmth and wit, an avid sailor and skier, a tireless advocate for the environment and an enthusiastic supporter of education, according to the organization.

Tickets for the benefit are now on sale at Family Centers’ locations in Greenwich (40 Arch St. and 20 Bridge St.), Stamford (60 Palmer’s Hill Rd.) and Darien (590 Post Rd.) for $100 each. Throughout the month of May, Family Centers will also take the MG on the road to sell tickets at several Greenwich hotspots including  Greenwich Plaza on May 9 and 16 from 4:30 to 8 p.m.; Ralph Lauren on May 10 and 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Richards on May 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All proceeds from the raffle will benefit Family Centers’ 30 health, human service and education programs. The winner does not need to be present at the Gatsby on the Sound event to claim the prize. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Aleksa Lazarewicz at [email protected] or 203-869-4848.

Co-chaired by Greenwich residents Laurie Grauer and Brooke Ashforth, Family Centers’ Gatsby on the Sound benefit will be held on Friday, May 31 at 6 p.m. at a private waterfront residence.
