Greenwich girls tennis team beats Ridgefield in thriller, 4-3

In took a while, but the Greenwich High School girls tennis team was able to come away with the hard-fought 4-3 victory over Ridgefield earlier today.

In No. 1 singles, Jenn Deluca had little trouble beating Kelly Janasek, winning 6-0, 6-1. Same goes for Sam Stone, who was able to pull away from Ridgefield’s Olivia Beatty 6-3, 6-1. It was far from easy for Greenwich’s Anna Daccache in No. 3 singles. Against Ridgefield’s Maxine Gorelick, Daccache found herself down early and lost the first set 6-0.
