Big second half helps Sacred Heart lax upend St. Luke’s, 13-6

Using a seven-goal second period, the Convent of the Sacred Heart lacrosse team came away with the 13-6 victory over St. Luke’s School earlier today.

The Tigers, who upped their overall record to 7-4 on the season, took a 6-3 lead to close out the first half against the Storm.

Taylor Ryan led the way for Sacred Heart on the day, tallying five goals. Emma Novick had a solid all-around game, netting three goals and three assists. Mo Leitner added two goals and one assist, while Catherine Hayden finished with two goals. Allic Millerchip rounded out the scoring for CSH with one goal.

Colleen O’Neill, Kate Burkett and Allie Kenny each finished with one assist on the day, while Sacred Heart goalie Maddie Pillari finished with six saves on the day.

Sacred Heart will be back in action Monday afternoon when they host School of the Holy Child.
