Greenwich girls tennis unloads on St. Joseph, wins 7-0

On a picture-perfect afternoon, the Greenwich High School girls tennis team ended the day simply perfect. The Lady Cards didn’t drop a point to St. Joseph High School en route to a 7-0 victory.

Big Red got victories in all its singles, as Jenn Deluca at No. 1, Sam Stone at No. 2, Anna Daccache at No. 3 and Maggie Glynn at No. 4 all won their matches 6-0, 6-0.

Not to be outdone was the Greenwich doubles. At No. 1 doubles, the group of Julia Ackerman and Julia Hyland won 6-0, as he Mathilde Van Tulder and Lizzie Griffin at No. 2 doubles. Rounding out the day was Mary Cecio and Liza Johnson at No. 3 double, winning 6-0 as well.

Later today, the Big Red girls tennis team will be at Greenwich High School when they host Stamford High at 4.
