Choir to spice up Cinco de Mayo

The Angel Choir is preparing for double duty on May 5 with a performance of Latino songs followed by salsa dancing in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

Lou Lopez from Latin Moves Dance Studio and Connecticut Salsa Festival will lead the choir and audience members in a free dance lesson that will be exciting and memorable. Don’t miss this chance to experience the dynamic relationship between music and movement.

The rehearsal begins at 4 p.m., followed by the dance lesson at 5 and then the performance at 6 at the Greenwich Arts Center, 299 Greenwich Avenue.

The Angel Choir rehearses and performs a complete choral performance in one afternoon with joy in camaraderie while providing a platform for cancer patients, survivors, their families and friends or anyone who would like to sing to revivify their spirit. No audition or sight-singing skills required — it is a learning experience that is not to be missed.

The Angel Choir does not charge for admission or membership. For more information, visit
