Talk on sex and Internet safety set for Thursday night

What’s the most important topic you haven’t discussed with your kids? According to two former assistant district attorneys, the answer is often body parts, sex, sexual abuse and Internet safety.

Tonight, May 2, at 7 p.m., former Assistant District Attorney Marisa Mercandetti, of the Sex Crimes Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, will be in Greenwich discussing the real dangers facing children from sexual predators and giving caregivers the tools they need to discuss uncomfortable but vital information regarding anatomy and sexual topics with their children.

Former Assistant District Attorney Pina Terranova O’Donnell, of Trial Division & the Investigations Division of the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, will discuss Internet safety precautions to help safeguard children online.

The discussion takes place tonight, May 2, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at North Greenwich Nursery School.

Light refreshments will be served and admission is free.
